Company: Provide a head start to underserved educators and communities by donating and/or heavily discounting our services (subscriptions to our apps) to education organizations.
Services: When the right data is delivered to the right hands in the right format, it stimulates action. The goal of every Skoodat application is to motivate the correct course of action at the correct moment.
Involve Community
Company: Empower our employees to devote their experience and passion within our communities by donating 1% of their time to local nonprofit and education organizations.
Services: Greater community involvement leads to greater learning achievement. Connecting parents, guardians, teachers, administrators, students and friends to appropriate information can be a catalyst of positive change.
Promote Transparency
Company: Skoodat gives employees complete visibility into corporate finances and provides a clear path to influencing corporate strategy and objectives.
Services: Improving education requires transparency of information among those with the right to know. Cloud-computing also requires transparent access to technical information about platform performance, upgrades and changes. Skoodat is committed to transparency in both cases.
Make Tasks Easier
Company: Practicing what we preach, Skoodat uses cloud applications to run our own business. This not only makes collaboration and communication easier, it also makes it easier to be a green company by reducing travel and enabling employees to work remotely.
Services: Nobody wants to waste time doing repetitive tasks or searching needlessly for the right information. Every Skoodat application will be designed with the goal of either eliminating work, or dramatically reducing the administrative burden on education staff.
Provide More Personal, Equitable Instuction
Company: Skoodat will award significant discounts to education organizations with innovative, replicatable project ideas that have significant potential to deliver individuated instruction or to bring better education to underserved students.
Services: Each student should have an individualized learning plan with a clear path to mastery of each subject. As students and the learning community gain awareness of what must be learned, we can stop settling for “passing” grades and focus instead on each student attaining mastery. Each person’s education path must be taken personally and Skoodat application services can help pave the way.
Protect Our Environment
Company: Take every step we can to implement innovative and responsible environmental practices and partnerships to reduce our carbon footprint, including leveraging service partners who share this commitment, such as Salesforce.com and Google.
Services: Develop application services that will reduce paper waste, reduce the number of computer servers going to landfills, and dramatically reduce power consumption by schools.
